I'm just doing a little catch up on the blog and had to document the girl's last day of school! It was Monday June 25 and the girls were sad to see the school year end. They had a half day. I also took a half day so that I could get them after school .We headed to a pool party with their friends which I felt like a hot mess trying to chase Hudson around and trying to get him to take a nap in the stroller. He wasn't having it. Next time I leave him home with Brett or a babysitter. The girls had a great day! Now they are on to 2nd grade and 1st grade. They are growing up too quickly!

Fourth of July Festivities
How is it that 4th of July has already passed. I feel once 4th of July hits the rest of the summer just flies by. We do have a busy summer with a vacation planned at the beginning of August, which is only 4 weeks away. If anyone has any suggestions on flying with 3 kids especially a 19 month old, let me know!
4th of July was a great day. It was a very hot one. Brett was working a double so he was sleeping. Ugh a life of a Police Officer's wife. That is a post in itself. The girls and I had headed to the Parade in the next town to us. The girls love it because there is lots of candy thrown out and Hudson loved it because of all the big trucks. He was just in awe of it and was waving at everyone. It was cute! After the parade was over we headed back home to see the end of the road race. My cousins ran in it and we were able to see them cross the finish line. I don't know how they did it though. It was a very hot day!!! The rest of the day was spent at the beach and then a clam boil back at my parents house. We ended the day seeing fireworks. It was a great day and the girls had fun with their cousin!

Where Did May Go?
How did the month of May disappear so fast. It was a busy month. We had pajama days, visited a farm with peacocks, celebrated Memorial Day, and enjoyed our first ice cream of the season. So now that it is June and I'm thinking that this month will be busier than last with lots of end of school activities. My goal for this month is to be summer ready and that means being ready for the beach every weekend and to get organized so that I can enjoy the time with the my children. Time to go make a list of what we will need. Stay tuned! Have a great night!

So I decided to do a "A Day in the Life" post. This is a Weekend Edition when my Hubby was off. Which doesn't happen often so we enjoy it as much as we can. On this particular Saturday we took off on a family adventure to the Science Museum in Boston. But first we had to start our day very early, because why not right. My little crew are early risers! I have just started to like coffee but with only cream in it and no sugar. So I was trying a few creamers out this morning. I have finally settled on the Cold Stone Sweet Cream Creamer. Oh my goodness it is so good! Along with my coffee I had a rice cake with peanut butter and banana on it.
So as you know my kids are early risers so we had plenty of time to snuggle bright and early before heading out on our family adventure.
And we are finally off after getting everyone ready and packed for the day. It's not easy and some mornings go better than others and some are just pure chaos!
We arrived at the Boston Science Museum and pulled into our parking spot to see this beautiful view! So lucky that we live close to Boston. It is only an hour or so away. Need to take advantage of the city more. I think our next adventure will be the Boston Children's Museum.
The girls had so much fun exploring. We went into the Butterfly exhibit which was beautiful. The butterflies were so pretty! The girls loved watching them. One of the butterflies escaped with us. Oops! But we got someone quickly to help us. It's never a dull moment with us.
After exploring the museum we headed over to Faneuil Hall, where we grabbed lunch! Of course I had to get the sausage and peppers! Followed with ice cream for the girls!
At Faneuil Hall we did some shopping and it started to snow and that was our cue to leave! Everyone took naps on the way home.
Once we got home everyone was full of energy and this mama needed caffeine if I was going to make it till bed time! We headed to my parents for dinner but I kind of lost track and forgot to take pictures!! Oh well. Stay tuned for a more day in a life post.

Easter Weekend!
Happy Easter and how is it already April? The kids and I had a great weekend minus the Hubby who was working doubles all weekend (thank you xoxo). It started off on Friday night with movie night. We watched Paddington 2 which was so cute. Saturday we were all up early which isn't a surprise. They could all sleep in on the week days but not the weekends. Some day! At least we got our grocery shopping done early because we had an Easter egg hunt to go to at our local Lighthouse park. The girls were cute and wanted to share getting the eggs which I thought was a great idea because we don't need double the candy. It was such a nice day out. I finally feel like Spring is coming here. After the egg hunt the girls went with their Aunt's for a bit while I ran to target with Hudson. What a nice little Target trip. I was able to escape the dollar section and not buying anything! Was out of there quickly. Headed home to get the girls and make lunch. Hudson went down for a nap and the girls and I watched a movie. When Hudson woke up we headed to the playground. After the playground we got ready to head to my parent's house for pizza night. Saturday was a busy day! After pizza night we came home got the kids to bed. Then the Easter Bunny came and I went to bed!
We all slept in on Sunday till 6:30! Very exciting. The girls were ready to go and see what the Easter Bunny brought, but the Easter Bunny played a mean April fools joke and hid their baskets so they had a clue to find them! We had a nice morning afterwards! Went to my mom's for a bit and then to the playground again with my sister and her daughter. Needed to run off all the energy. We weren't going to my sisters for Easter dinner till around 3 so we had plenty of time to just relax and enjoy our Sunday! The rest of the day was fun with a lot of candy being eaten! The girls had another Easter egg hunt at my sisters! Lots of candy to go around! I think the candy will go missing soon! It was a great Easter weekend and I'm glad that it was low-key. I needed that very much. Easter is a very hard holiday for me but that is for another post! I hope you all have a great week.
xoxo Erika

Controlling the Chaos!
Life with three kids isn't easy. When I found out I was pregnant with Hudson I was very confident that I could handle the chaos that was about to come. I had two already and they were a bit older and it was going to be an easy adjustment. Well I had myself fooled. It was and still is an adjustment to all of us. I try really hard to put on a good act but some times I don't know if I'm coming or going and feel like that effects everyone. Especially my girls. Hudson is such an easy baby and just goes with the flow for the most part but my girls lives have been turned upside down. Don't get me wrong they love that the have a baby brother but now their mom is having to be pulled every which way. I feel like I need to get organized in order to have control of my chaos. So tonight I'm spending some time on making some list of what I need to do to control the chaos.
I started by making a daily to do list for my girls. One for the morning and one for the night. I was searching through Pinterest and I couldn't find one that I like so I created my own.
I just love how they came out. I just need to get them laminated and I'm going to create a little command station for them. Some where that Hudson can't destroy. I will post about the girls little command station when completed. Need to create one for me first and I'm just trying to figure out the best spot to do that. Stay tuned.....

Harper Turns Six!
This past month we celebrated Harper's Birthday. She turned six on February 10. I really can't believe that she is already six. I feel like just yesterday we were bringing her home and trying to juggle two kids under 2. A lot has change since then and now we are trying to juggle 3 kids!
We had a fun-filled weekend planned for Harper's birthday. We had a family party on Friday with tacos and cake. Harper was able to pick her dinner and of course like her momma she picked tacos.
On Saturday we woke up early and had a birthday breakfast of Harper's choice and then it was off on an adventure. We headed to the Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut. It was our first time there and it was lots of fun! Of course I didn't take any pictures there. I was trying to be in the moment!
We had lunch at Mystic Pizza which by that point we were all exhausted and hungry!! It was really good pizza of course and I actually wish I had some right now!
After lunch and walking around Mystic for a bit, it started to rain so we headed back to the hotel. The girls and Brett enjoyed the pool while Hudson and I napped!
I kind of stopped taking pictures after our nap/pool. As I said I was trying to be in the moment and not always have my phone out. Easier said then done! We enjoyed a yummy dinner at the Engine Room in Mystic and then headed to Toys R Us so Harper could use a gift card she had! We ended the night playing a mean game of Uno and we all fell asleep watching the Olympics but then abruptly awoken at 5:45 with the alarm going off. Ugh so much for sleeping in. Oh well! We had a great time away and Harper had a great birthday weekend!

Weekend Recap!
Why do weekends go by so fast? It was a very nice weekend. Brett was off which doesn't happen often so we took advantage it and had a fun weekend!
On Saturday Mollie had a birthday party at a roller skate rink. It was her first time skating and she was a little nervous and did a great job. She never gave up no matter how many times she fell. Will have to take her again so that she can practice more. We then spent the afternoon at Patriot's Place in Foxboro. We had fun walking around Bass pro. So excited for the Patriot's to be in the Super Bowl this year!
Sunday was spent having Breakfast out, going to Walmart, CCD for Mollie, taking naps, getting new beds for the girls room, and celebrating my Brother's birthday coming up! It was a good weekend. Looking forward to the next weekend coming up! It is going to be a good one! |

Happy New Year's!
I'm so excited to finally write my first post. I'm not new to blogging. I was using blogger but decided to switch over. I'm really looking forward to sharing our lives here!
I feel like I'm still in that fog of is it really 2018 because I still keep writing 2017, but 2017 was a great year. It was a crazy busy year. We added a new baby to the family, bought a house, and I started a new job. Even though it was a great year, I'm looking forward to 2018 and finally feeling settled! I was going to do a 2017 recap but realized that I have taken way too many photos and just can't pick a few! So we are just going to start fresh for 2018. I hope you will enjoy this blog. Y'all have a good night and stay tuned to my next post. Feel free to follow my blog so that you will get updates when I post! The link is on the side to follow and while you do that check out my Instagram page.
Meal Plan #3
I'm going to be honest with you all with my meal plan last week! I didn't do the best job sticking with my menu, it was a busy one ...
